Lisa Darlene Downey

Lisa Darlene Downey, age 44, of Shelbyville, died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville.

She was born in Shelbyville on June 26, 1972. She was a farmer and a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Shelbyville.

She is survived by her husband: Russell Nation, Jr.; her daughter: Courtney Marie Catherine Evans; her son: Austin John Holcomb Downey; her mother: Mary Catherine Downey; two brothers: Gary Leslie Smitha, Jr. and Jason Wilson; one sister: Melissa Dawn Wilson; and five grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Gary Leslie Smitha.

Funeral services are scheduled for 5 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. J.T. Stinson will officiate. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. the day of the service. Cremation will follow the funeral services.
