Raymond Byrd

Mr. Raymond Byrd, age 65 of Gest Road in Eastern Henry County, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the UK hospital. He was born on September 16, 1952 in Scott County Tennessee. He worked at Ford Motor Company where he retired after many years. He was a member of the Mill Branch Baptist Church, and also a Vietnam Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda D. Byrd; parents, Dorsey and Lucy Byrd; mother-in-Law, Ruby Goodwin; brother, Glen Byrd; sister-in-Law, Mary Lois Byrd.

He is survived by his son, Bobby Lee Byrd and wife Elizabeth; grandchildren, Kelsey, Draven and Jayce, all of Frankfort, Kentucky; father-in- law, Bob Goodwin; brothers and sisters, J.E. Byrd and wife Florence, D.T. Byrd and wife Linda, sister-in-law, Sara Byrd, all of Lorain, Ohio, Artie Burkholder and husband Titus of Kansas City, Missouri, Henry Byrd and wife Peggy of Lorain, Ohio, Jimmy D. Byrd of Robbins, Tennessee, George Byrd and wife Linda, Allen Byrd, Chester Byrd and wife Donna all of Huntsville, Tennessee, Finley Byrd and wife Valerie of Pioneer, Tennessee; brother-in-Law, Johnny Goodwin of Lorain, Ohio; special friends, Sandy McAlister, Todd Chesser, Brian Snider, Fred Snider, Jerry Godbey, Jerry Mud, James Webb, and Stan Corum.

Local funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Bro. Fred Snider officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville is in charge of local arrangements.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 P.M. until time of funeral service at 8:00 p.m. Friday Evening, February 23, 2018 in the Chapel of Four Oaks Funeral Home in Huntsville with Bro. J. R. Massengale officiating. Graveside service will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday Morning, February 24, 2018 at the Mill Branch Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post #136. Four Oaks Funeral Home of Huntsville is in charge of Tennessee arrangements.
