Anna Catherine Schweitzer

Anna Catherine Schweitzer, age 86 of Shelbyville, died Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville. She was born February 23, 1931 in Eminence, and was the daughter of the late Lewis and Sarah Byers Shaw. She was owner of Anna C. Properties in Shelbyville, was a retired preschool teacher at Child Town, USA, and belonged to Pleasureville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband: Thomas E. Schweitzer of Shelbyville; two sons: David Lyons (and wife Sherry) of Owenton, and Garry Lyons (and wife Cindy) of Pleasureville; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Services will be officiated by Rev. Jerry Anderson, pastor of Pleasureville Baptist Church, Father Mike Tobin, pastor of Church of Annunciation in Shelbyville, and Rev. Jesse Baxter, chaplain of the Masonic Home of Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Saturday. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Garrison, Horace Dean Harrod, Melvin Lyons, and Dean Baugh. Pallbearers are Chris Lyons, Darren Lyons, Daniel Lyons, Daniel Preston, Jon Gray, and Chris Schweitzer.
