Brenda Moody Sholar

Brenda Moody Sholar, age 72 of Pleasureville died Sunday, December 27, 2020. She was a funeral director and the owner of Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville, for more than 30 years. She recently received the Golden Certificate from the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky, for being a funeral director and embalmer for 50 years. She was also a member of Pleasureville United Methodist Church.

Brenda is survived by her husband: Clyde J. Sholar of Pleasureville; one daughter: Jessi Sholar Drawbaugh (Ricky) of Pleasureville; three grandchildren: Sophie, Olivia and Dathan Drawbaugh; her mother: Lillian Easley of Pleasureville; and one brother: Jeffrey Moody (Laura) of Taylorsville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Orville Boss Moody.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Pleasureville Cemetery. Rev. Jesse Landers will officiate and the Pleasureville Fire Department will serve as pallbearers.
