Betty Jane LeCompte Douglas, 79 of Franklinton Betty Jane LeCompte Douglas, age 79 of Franklinton passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at Homestead Nursing Center in New Castle. She was born in Shelbyville and was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Bertha Kyle LeCompte. She was a homemaker and a member of Franklinton Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons: Steven Douglas (Thelma) of Eminence and Phillip Douglas (Cindy) of Franklinton; two daughters: Kathleen Erwin (Bobby) of Franklinton and Lynnette Yount (John David) of Eminence; two brothers: Eugene LeCompte (Evelyn) of Eminence and Jerry LeCompte (Christine) of Eminence; one sister: Helen Locklear of Dayton, Ohio: ten grandchildren: Kylen Douglas (Beth), Micah Douglas, Erin Samuels (Steve), Brett Foree, Kaitlyn Foree, Phillip Robert Douglas, Michael Douglas, Jacob Yount, Justin Yount and Jared Yount; two great-grandsons: Kaine Samuels and Benjamin Douglas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gayle Douglas, and three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Franklinton Baptist Church with Rev. Jacky Newton, pastor of Franklinton Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Franklinton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2013 at the church. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers and honorary bearers. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Franklinton Baptist Church Building Fund, 7681 Point Pleasant Road, Pleasureville, KY 40057-9557.
