Claude "Dump" Downey

Claude (Dump) Downey, age 88 of Bethlehem, died Thursday, March 22, 2012. He was born in Lockport and was the son of the late Tom and Bertha McGuire Downey. He was retired from International Harvester where he was a member of the United Auto Workers. He a member of Lockport Baptist Church. He is survived by one son: Jeff Downey of Bethlehem; one sister: Margaret Lyons of Bethlehem; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Peyton Downey, a son, James T. Downey and a daughter, Mary Elisabeth Downey. Services at 11 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2012, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Wayne Kelly, former pastor of Lockport Baptist Church officiating. Burial Pleasureville Cemetery.
