David L. Ritter

DAVID LEON RITTER, age 75 of Pleasureville, KY David Leon Ritter, age 75 of Pleasureville, died Friday, July 19, 2013 in New Castle. He was born at Pea Ridge in Waddy in Shelby County, and was the son of the late John W. Ritter and Winnie Ann Underwood Ritter. He was retired from Armour Packing House in Louisville, and was a member of Mount Tabor United Methodist Church in Centerfield. He is survived by his wife: Henrietta Barnett Ritter of Pleasureville; two daughters: Robin Broughton (Dale) of Pleasureville, and Julie Heckman (Tim) of Smithfield; one sister, four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, another great-grandchild expected soon; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, David Dean Ritter, and a brother, William Carroll Ritter. Funeral services 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev. Jerry Anderson, pastor of Pleasureville Baptist Church officiating. Interment in Pleasureville Cemetery. Steven Harp, Tim Heckman, and Dale Broughton will be honorary pallbearers.
