Delilah Jones Douthitt

Delilah Jones Douthitt, age 91, of Orville, died Friday, August 12, 2016, in Louisville. She was born August 1, 1925 in Orville, and was the daughter of the late William and Lorene Ferguson Jones. She was a homemaker and a member of Orville Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters: Vicki Ruth Douthitt of Louisville, Teresa Douthitt Goins of Frankfort, and Lisa Hill (and husband Dennis) of Louisville; one sister: Rebecca Jones Gilbert (and husband Clarence) of Orville; three grandchildren: Geoffrey Goins, Loren Hill, and Kelly Hill; one great-grandchild: Madison Goins; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Forest Douthitt; her bother: Woodrow Wilson Jones; and her sister: Mabel Jones.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Services will be officiated by Rev. David Rayborn, Rev. Andy Hancock, and Rev. Robbie Munson. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, August 15, 2016, and from 10 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers are Clarence Gilbert, Elbert Webb, Gayle Harper, Doug Raisor, Red Sams, Larry Chisholm, Wayne Adams, Pete Adams, Gayle Bramblett, and Eddie Douthitt. Active pallbearers are Kevin Raisor, Scot Treece, Josh Raisor, Robbie O’Brien, Terry Sams, Joey Sams, Wayne Eddins, and Daniel Welch.
