ELIZA LEE DOWNEY STEPHENS, age 86 of Lockport, KY Eliza Lee Downey Stephens, age 86 of Lockport, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Baptist Hospital in La Grange. She was born in Lockport on November 1, 1926 and was a Homemaker. She was the daughter of the late Floyd H. and Frances Aldridge Martin. She is survived by her son: Louis Downey of Eminence; five daughters: Carolyn Thompson of Bethlehem, Judy Downey of Eminence, Lavonne Carter of Charlotte, North Carolina, Bertha Jean McIntosh of La Grange, and Reba Jackson of Sulphur; three sisters: Mary Clauss of Ohio, Anita Jean Martin of Eminence, and Marie Downey of Defoe; twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Floyd Downey and William Stephens; a daughter: Vickie Lee Downey; a brother: Robert Martin; a sister: Anna Raisor; and two grandsons: Louis Downey, Jr. and Doug Carter. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev. Leon Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasureville Cemetery.
