Evelyn Kelley McDonald Evelyn Kelley McDonald, died Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Jewish Hospital in Shelbyville. She was born in Gest, Kentucky on October 28, 1928 to the late George and Altha Kelley. Evelyn graduated from Eminence High School in 1946 and later went on to work at Southern Bell Telephone Company in Louisville, Kentucky. She returned to Eminence, Kentucky to raise her two children, Linda Goins of Shelbyville, Kentucky and Julian Bordes of Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Evelyn resided in Eminence the remainder of her life. She led a simple life with her biggest love being for her grandchildren Dawn Moore of Smithfield, Kentucky, and Hayley Bordes of Franklin, Tennessee, and Josh Bordes of Seattle, Washington, and her great grandchildren Blake Ayers, Adam Booth, Heather Moore, Jackson Bordes, Ethan Bordes and Presley Bordes. Evelyn's second passion was rooting for UK basketball, which she followed intently up until her death. Evelyn is pre-deceased by her two brothers Bob and Billy Kelley. Adda Lee Chiarello, her sister, resides in New Jersey and Florida. Evelyn attended the United Pentecostal and United Methodist Churches in Eminence. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Masonic Home of Shelbyville, 711 Frankfort Rd, Shelbyville, KY 40065, where she was well cared for in the later years of her life. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of caregivers at the Masonic Home for their love, nurture and kind support rendered for "Ms. Evelyn" during her stay there. A graveside service is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Friday, December 6th at Pleasureville Cemetery, 1548 Ditto Cemetery Road, Pleasureville, KY 40057.
