Hubert Logan Ethington

Hubert Logan Ethington, age 66 of Defoe, died Monday, June 3, 2017 at his residence. He was born April 13, 1951 in LaGrange, KY and was the son of the late Huston and Naomi Elizabeth Chisholm Ethington. He worked for General Electric, and was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church. In addition, he was an Artist -- one of his drawings is depicted on this website with his obituary.

He is survived by his son: Joshua Logan Ethington of Defoe; two brothers: Wayne Ethington (Bonnie) of Defoe, and Eddie Lee Ethington (Becky) of Bethlehem; four sisters: Patsy Joyce Brewer (Ray) of Defoe, Teressa McKee (Dave) of Frankfort, Roselyn Ethington of Shelbyville, and Beverly Creasey (Fred) of Shelbyville; one grandchild: Gabriella Lopez of New Castle; and two great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by two brothers: Oscar David Ethington and James Coleman Ethington; and two sisters: Elizabeth Hunt and Mary Sue Ethington.

Services are scheduled for 4 p.m. Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Pleasant View United Methodist Church. Rev. Ed Savage will officiate. Burial will be in Grub-Ridge Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. the day of the service. Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville is in charge of services.
