Ida Marie Downey

Ida Marie Downey, age 46, of New Castle, died Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Providence Nursing Home of New Castle. She was born in Pewee Valley on June 22, 1969. She had attended Kentucky State University and worked in the Food-Service Industry.

She is survived by her daughter: Codi Erin Leigh Northern; her father: Ed Downey, Sr. of Franklinton; and one brother: Ed Downey, Jr. of Versailles. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Margaret Hoskins Downey.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, April 4, 2016, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Paul Briscoe will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016 and from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Monday. Burial will be in New Castle Cemetery.
