Juanita Jean Nichols

Juanita Jean DeBord Nichols, age 81, of Pleasureville, died Monday, March 21, 2016, at Norton Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Leslie Vernon DeBord and Ethel Marie Stykes DeBord. She was a Floral Designer and EMS, Fire, and Police Dispatcher for Pleasureville for more than 17 years, and attended Henry Christian Church.

She is survived by one son: Kenny Nichols (Vicky) of Pleasureville; two daughters: Jerri Lynn Scott of Campbellsburg and Rebecca Marie Holcomb (Larry) of Campbellsburg; one brother: Roland DeBord (Linda) of Anchorage; two sisters: Trina Cassidy (Dan) of Pleasureville and Mona Dunlap (Bob) of Sharonville, Ohio; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wellington "Nick" Isac Nichols.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Pleasureville Baptist Church and the family will receive visitors from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. the same day. Rev. Michael Duncan will officiate.
