Loyd Coleman Payton

Loyd Coleman Payton, age 82, of New Castle died Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at his residence. He was born September 16, 1933 and was the son to the late Loyd and Eloise Purvis Payton. He was a retired farmer. He is survived by his wife: Willanna Mahoney Payton of Eminence: four sons: Kenny Coleman Payton (Brenda) of Pleasureville, Darryl Wayne Payton (Louise Brown) of Eminence, Bryan Keith Payton of New Castle, and Barry Lee Payton of New Castle; four daughters: Karen Gayle Phillips (Eric Goodrich) of Eminence, Wilma Lee Cunningham (Randy) of New Castle, Patricia Lynn Thurman (Tony Beaumont) of Eminence, and Lisa Ann Payton (Horico Valenza) of Eminence; two brothers: Billy Ray Payton of New Castle, and Maurice Dean Payton of New Castle; one sister: Patsy Sevier of New Castle; seventeen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2015, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Garry Polston will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, 2015, and from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral on Monday. Burial will be in New Castle Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to Sholar Funeral Home, in memory of the Loyd Payton family, 5710 Castle Highway, Pleasureville, KY 40057. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Goodrich, Willanna Payton, Betty Jean Hamilton, Randy Cunningham, Brenda Cobb, Tony Beaumont, and Horico Valenza.
