Lynda Jo Poynter

Lynda Jo Hunt Poynter, age 73 of Bedford, died Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Baptist Health in La Grange. She was born in Shelbyville and was the daughter of the late Ercill and Madeline Roberts Hunt. She worked as a Technician for Bell South Mobility. She is survived by one daughter: Marti Lawson of Bedford: one brother: Ercill Ray Hunt (Cordelia) of North Carolina; three sisters: Mary Carole Hall (Randy Gabbard) of Campbellsburg, Nina Colson of Powell County, KY, and Thelma Lafferre of Louisville; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Poynter, and a son, Mark Woods. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville with Rev. Tom Starks of Milton Baptist Church and Rev. Paul Limato, Jr. of Popular Ridge Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2, 2014.
