Mary Elizabeth Shaw

Mary Elizabeth Shaw, age 83 of Pleasureville, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Bethlehem on July 31, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Herman and Stella Woods Newman. She had worked as a bookkeeper at a Tobacco Warehouse, and was a homemaker and a member of Cropper Christian Church. She is survived by her husband: E.B. Shaw of Pleasureville; three sons: Linnie Ray Shaw of Mt. Sterling, Wayne Shaw of Lake Jericho and Doug Shaw (Renee) of Bethlehem; three grandchildren: Derek Shaw of Pleasureville, Connor Shaw of Bethlehem and Amanda Coada of Maryville, TN; one great-grandson: Jaxon Shaw of Pleasureville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Jacky Newton, pastor of Franklinton Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015, and from 10 a.m. until time of the service on Tuesday. Casket bearers are Derek Shaw, Connor Shaw, Ronnie Grigsby, Scott Wilson, Charlie Gribbins, Steve Adams and Steve Webster.
