Etta Maude Kelley Hopper, age 102, formerly of Pleasureville died Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Bradford Square Genesis Healthcare in Frankfort. She was born in Pleasureville on October 10, 1912 and was the daughter of the late Humphrey and Muriel Mitchell Kelley. She had worked at the Department of Agriculture for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and was a member of Orville Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters: Betty Gilbert of Taylorsville and Martha Turner of Frankfort; four grandchildren: Debbie Bohannon (George) of Fisherville, Robin Dunavan (Mitchell) of Pleasureville, Tamara Lasher (Steve) of Lexington, and Michael Webb (Nicole) of Winchester; eight great-grandchildren: Eric Bohannon (Bridgett), Tom Bohannon, Bethanie Gitlewski (Bryan), John Miller, Rebekah Rose Lasher, Gabrielle Lasher, Jessica Webb, and Jayme Webb (Stephanie); two great-great grandchildren: Caden Briney and Tatum Gitlewski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvey Hopper, and siblings, Jessie, Ruby, Virgie, Arie, and Lawrence. The funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Darrell Treece, former pastor of Orville Baptist Church will officiate. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2015. Interment will in Pleasureville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jayme Webb, John Miller, Mitchell Dunavan, Michael Webb, Elbert Webb, and George Bohannon. Online condolences may be expressed at sholarfuneralhome.com.
