Nathan Wayne Shouse

Nathan Wayne Shouse, age 48, of Pleasureville, KY passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, at U. of L. Shelbyville Hospital. He was born on July 25, 1974, in Versailles, Woodford County, KY to Wallace B. and Martha Ann Kincaid Shouse who survive him. Nathan was a member of Crossroads Lighthouse Church in Eminence, KY and was self-employed as a builder of homes and pole barns and other various projects. He enjoyed fishing, building things, the outdoors and reading history books.

His survivors include his parents; Wallace B. and Martha Ann Kincaid Shouse of Pleasureville, KY, a daughter; Heidi Marie Shouse of Louisville, KY, two sons; Levi Thomas Shouse of Pleasureville, stationed with the U.S.Army National Guard in Germany and Ethan Cole Shouse of Eminence, KY, three sisters; Aimee (Donald) Moore of Pleasureville, KY, Renee’ (C.W.) Davis of Shelbyville, KY and Laura (Brian) Dale of Eminence, KY, two grandchildren; Scarlett Rose Canaban and Amelia Jade Woosley. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Wallace Scott Shouse and Christopher Shane Shouse, his paternal grandparents; Tom and Edith Bramblett Shouse, his maternal grandparents; Stanley and Ellie Mitchell Kincaid and a niece; Hanna Lauren Broughton.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Sholar-Riley Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Harvey and Rev. Nathan Shaw, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M., Friday, September 30, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Cropper Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Moore, Jacob Dale, Zachary Dale, Anthony Shouse, Noah Shouse and Shawn Taylor. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Derrick Taylor, Erica Fraser, Elizabeth Broughton, Leah Dale, Ellie Bowlin, Emily Shouse, Gracie Broughton, Kylee Dale and Olivia Shouse.
