Neil (Papa Smurf) Robins

Neil (Papa Smurf) Robins, age 74, of Pleasureville, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Louisville and was the son of the late Orville and Nellie Summerville Robins. He was retired from Phillip Morris Tobacco in Louisville where he worked as a foreman, and was a member of St. Peter's Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife: Trudie Catlett Robins of Pleasureville; two sons: Randall Robins of Shelbyville and Kevin Robins of Washington State; one daughter: Melinda Sampson (Clark) of Pleasureville; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. Jacky Newton, pastor of Franklinton Baptist Church will officiate. Cremation will follow the funeral services. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday August 9, 2014, and from 1 p.m. until time of the funeral service on Sunday.
