Rev. Todd Giddens Woodward, age 43, of Waddy, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Baptist Health in LaGrange. He was born December 12, 1971 in Aiken, South Carolina and was the son to the late Hubbert and Marie Giddens Woodward. He was an ordained Baptist Minister, and he also served as a policeman, EMT, and firefighter. He belonged to Mount Vernon Baptist Church, where he served as Pastor. He is survived by his wife: Jacqueline Johnson Woodward of Waddy; one son: Nathanial Richie of Campbellsburg; one daughter: Kaitlin Clark of Campbellsburg; one brother: Scott Woodward (Nathalia) of Aiken, South Carolina and their daughter, Emily; an aunt: Aunt Doris Woodward of Aiken, South Carolina, and an aunt and uncle, Glenn and Josie Giddens of Marietta, Georgia; a grandchild: Draydon Clark, and several cousins, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2015, at Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Waddy. Dr. Tony Hough will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville, and from 11 a.m. until time of the funeral on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852, or the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016. Honorary pallbearers will be the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Deacons. Active pallbearers will be Scott Woodward, Mark Giddens, Glenn Giddens, Jimmy Watts, Nathan Richie, Jake Jacobs, Josh Clark, and Travis Johnson.
