Ruth Bohannon

Ruth Bohannon, 72 of Pleasureville Ruth Bohannon, age 72 of Pleasureville, died Thursday, March 22, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Bagdad, the daughter of the late Chester Adler, Sr. and Blanche Baxter Adler. Mrs. Bohannon was a homemaker and a member of Elmburg Baptist Church. She is survived by her son: James Bohannon (Gina) of Port Royal; two daughters: Elaine Taylor (Don) of Cropper and Donna King (Bruce) of Horse Cave; four brothers: Chester Adler, Jr. (Virginia) of Pleasureville, Froman Adler (Tara) of Shelbyville, Hubert Ray Adler of Kansas City, Missouri, and Ronald Dean Adler of Pleasureville; one sister: Viola Coleman of Middletown; seven grandchildren: Robert Bohannon (Amanda), Michael Bohannon (Jessica), Cassandra Couey, Lydia Couey, Alexandae Taylor, Khristian Chilton, and Nicholas King; two great-grandchildren: Kendric Bohannon and Chloe Bohannon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Bohannon. Funeral services were held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Rev. David Crowther, pastor of Elmburg Baptist Church officiated. Interment was in Pleasureville Cemetery.
