Sereta Jo Kemper

Sereta Jo Kemper, age 66, of New Castle, died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville. She was born June 15, 1949, and was the daughter of the late Charlie and Rose Downey Mahoney.

She is survived by one son: Tommy Kemper (Cherry) of Pleasureville; two daughters: Tracy Kemper of Frankfort, and Cheryl Quickert (Shane) of Port Royal; two brothers: Frankie Mahoney (Nell) of New Castle, and Edford Mahoney of Campbellsburg; four sisters: Barbara Mahoney, Lorine Palmer, Tippy Heitzman, and Willanna Payton, all of New Castle; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband: Gary Thomas Kemper; a daughter: Laura Rena Kemper; four brothers: Avery Mahoney, Vernon Mahoney, Orville Mahoney, and Johnnie Mahoney; and three sisters: Edith Briley, Alma Warren, and Emilene Gammons.

Cremation was chosen and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
